Snowmass Sun
New glossy mag promises total local flavor, national visibility, and a big name for a small city. Even the jaded local will find plenty to read about in ASPEN PEAK's pages.
Strong focus is given to local events and personalities, and plenty of what's happening in Snowmass will be given attention. ASPEN PEAK executive editor Leigh Jude Vogel says that the summer issue is sure to be a smorgasbord of local interest. "The content is Aspen specific with a national view," says Vogel. "And I am really open to people's creative ideas." Look out for bylines of people whose names are normally within the content of the articles. Lenny "Boogie" Weinglass, Klaus Obermeyer, Neil Beideleman, and George Sranahan are just some of the local leaders of various industries who will be penning stories for ASPEN PEAK.
"Covering local communities is also important to ASPEN PEAK," says Vogel. "We want to encompass the whole valley, not just Aspen. It's something I feel very strongly about. Snowmass, Woody Creek, these other places all have local stories beyond the characters. People have created these communities."
