Viceroy Snowmass Resort & Residences Helped Set the Stage for Aspen Peak Magazine's Annual New Year's Eve Party
Aspen, Colorado (January 2, 2008) – Denise Rich and Ivana Trump rang in the New Year in style, joining Niche Media CEO Jason Binn to host Niche Media's Annual Aspen Peak magazine New Year's Eve party on December 31, 2007 at The St. Regis Resort, Aspen.
Rich and Trump took their co-hosting duties seriously, dressing alike in similar metallic silver dresses and enthusiastically counting down the New Year on stage with Binn. Homerun slugger Barry Bonds and Yankees' player David Winfield held court in the luxurious Viceroy Snowmass Resorts & Residences' lounge created by Related Westpac, while hotelier Vikram Chatwal mingled among the crowd. Over 750 guests enjoyed special libations by Christiania Vodka, Redwood Creek Wines, Sapporo beer, FIJI water, and 8 O'Clock Coffee and danced until the early morning to the sounds of local Denver band, Jerry Barnett and Club Extreme.

The Aspen Times
Aspen has long been a popular spot to transition from one year to the next as evidenced by the slew of New
Year's Eve events staged around town. From ZZ Top live at the Belly Up Aspen to a festive fireworks show
over Aspen Mountain to invite−only house parties, there wasn't a lack of action or options for how to spend
the evening in '07.
A stop on the celebrity path this year was the Aspen Peak party at the St. Regis where the likes of Barry
Bonds and Denise Rich made the rounds. Niche Media CEO Jason Binn was the consummate host for the
annual event, which is always worth a visit to see how those on the eclectic guest list dress.
The Regal Watering Hole also hosted a gala on the 31st in their recently remodeled space. Formerly Bar
Aspen and, prior to that, Shooter's, the club's face lift offers a fresh perspective with leather floors, a lounge,
plenty of room to dance and DJs spinning on a nightly basis. New Year's Eve was no exception with the
crowd poised and ready to party like it was 1999.
Fittingly, a last leg of the night for many revelers was the sultry lingerie party at a Red Mountain residence
that stretched into the early hours of the 1st. Fortunately, most guests were dressed for the feathers by the time
they cabbed it home − making it easy to call it a night when getting in that morning.
Aspen Daily News
There's no place like Aspen at Christmas and New Year's Eve, and everything in between.
….Fast forward to New Year's Eve, but returning to the same location, the St. Regis ballroom was transformed from a couture runway to a rocking bandstand and roomy parquet dance floor with bars set up in strategic corners. This was the highly coveted by-invitation-only Aspen Peak party, formerly located at the Sundeck on top of Aspen Mountain.
Aspen Peak is one prong in publisher Jason Binn's Niche Media crown. In a recent article in The New York Times' "Talk of the Town," reporter David Carr described this newly minted media mogul's accomplishments.
"Mr. Binn has built a vertical out of the status obsession of both old and new money. People in the Hamptons may build their hedges high, but part of them wants the rest of the world to see just how fabulous their life is. Niche Media has tapped into the current need to live out loud, and the occasional discreet spread in Town & Country or Architectural Digest just doesn't quite get it."
Remind you of anyone, or shall I say, anywhere?
Mr. Binn did the countdown to midnight, flanked by part-time resident and songwriter Denise Rich and Ivana Trump. Ivana and the Donald's' daughter, Ivanka, are launching a diamond jewelry line, and the brochure was included in our 'goodie bags' that we received at the end of the evening. Ranging in price from $2,800 to $370,000, those diamond mines must be working overtime to supply the gems that drip from her luxurious and star-studded pieces that will inevitably drip from the stars who wear them.
As former Aspen mayoral candidate and CNN anchor Bonnie Behrendt says, "There's no place like Aspen on New Year's Eve." I couldn't agree more, Bonnie ... Let the pictures tell the rest of the story.
Happy, healthy and prosperous 2008 to everyone, whether you are a part- or full-time resident or visitor to our snowy shores, how lucky we all are to be here during this very festive and social season, as well as any other time. On to Wintersköl and the X-Games...
